Chun and Debbie’s Wedding – Tea Ceremony

30th May 2015 – Parkwood

Continuing the wedding season performances, this wedding performance was truly meaningful as it was for one of the troupe members wedding. Debbie is one of the main performers of the CCC Lion Dance Troupe and definitely one who has made significant contributions to the groups success.

The CCC Lion Dance Troupe were at the grooms parents residence awaiting the arrival of the bridal party and the brides family. Once they arrived, the firecrackers were lite and the lions began their performance in welcoming and blessing the bridal party. To make it more special, Robbie’s tribute lion were one of the lions used in the performance. The lions walked the bride and groom into the grooms parents house, then after presented the newly weds with a good luck scroll.

The CCC Lion Dance Troupe would like to thank Debbie and Chun for allowing us to be part of this special day. It was truly an honor to not only perform at your wedding, but also be one of those lucky enough to see the journey both of yous have taken from the beginning to this stage of marriage. We hope your marriage will be filled with ever lasting love and happiness!

La Belle Peau

9th May 2015 – North Perth

The Chinese Community Centre (CCC) Lion Dance performed at the relocation grand opening of La Belle Peau. La Belle Peau are Skin care and beauty specialists. The grand opening featured many free treats for its customers including beauty treatments, food and refreshments, and of course the blessing of the premises with the lion dance performance.

The CCC Lion Dance Troupe would like to wish all the staff at La Belle Peau all the best of success at your new business location.



2015 International Student Festival

9th May 2015 – Northbridge

The 2015 International Student Festival was on again this year at the outside area of the Perth Art Gallery. The event began with an introduction and welcoming of the event to the students. The CCC Lion Dance Troupe then began the lion dance performance to officially start the event. After the Lion Dance finished, the students then began their “amazing race” competition in the Perth City.

The CCC Lion Dance Troupe would like to thank the organisers of the International Student Festival for once again allowing us to be part of this celebration.

Peter and Cindy’s Wedding

2nd May 2015 – Northbridge Chinese Restaurant

Continuing with the busy Wedding season, The Chinese Community Centre (CCC) Lion Dance Troupe performed for Peter and Cindys Wedding at Northbridge Chinese Restaurant.

The lions surprised all the guests when the lions came through the restaurant and went to the table of the Bride and Groom to begin the performance. After the lions blessed the newlyweds they went to the other tables where they interacted with the guests and were fed lucky red packets.

The lions presented the newlyweds with a good luck scroll before finishing the performance.

The CCC Lion Dance Troupe will like to thank the newlyweds for having us at the wedding, and we do hope the absolute best for you both in your new lives together.
