Jacky and Vincent’s wedding

28th March 2013 – Sitella Winery, Swan Valley

On the 28th of March, The Chinese Community Centre (CCC) Lion Dance Troupe performed at the wedding of Jacky and Vincent, at the beautiful Sitella Winery in Swan Valley.

The Lion Dance performance was a surprise for the guests, so when the loud instruments played and the lions came into the room everyone was very much shocked and surprised.

The lion dance performance enhanced the festive mood of the wedding, with the bridal party and the guests enjoying the lion dance performance.

The CCC Lion Dance troupe will like to thank Jacky and Vincent for allowing us to be apart of this special day. We wish you both the best in your new future together.

 

Ballajura Harmony Festival

24th March 2013 – Karijin Oval, Ballajura

The CCC Lion Dance Troupe had the great opportunity again to perform at the Ballajura Harmony Festival at Karijin Oval.

The Festival featured many activities for the kids such as rides, face painting, sporting activities, and entertainment such as the Chinese Lion Dance. The Festival was very much enjoyed by all who attended.

The CCC Lion Dance Troupe will like to thank Caryl and the members of the City Of Swan for again allowing us to be apart of this wonderful event. We hope to see you again next year.

 

Will and Linh’s wedding

23rd March 2013 – Booragoon

The CCC Lion Dance Troupe performed at the tea ceremony of Will and Linh’s Wedding. The troupe was honoured to be asked to perform at the wedding as the troupe performed at the grand opening of Linh’s hair salon.

After the loud firecrackers were light, the 2 lions bowed to the guests and then gave their blessings to the newly weds. The lions also interacted with the guests before they presented the newly weds with a good luck scroll.

The CCC Lion Dance Troupe received great feedback from the newly weds and their guests of the lion dance performance.

The CCC Lion Dance Troupe will love to wish Will and Linh all the best in their new lives togethor, and may their marriage be one filled with everlasting love and success.

 

KULCHA Oz Concert

17th March 2013 – Government House Gardens

The CCC Lion Dance Troupe had the great opportunity to be apart of the Kulcha Oz Concert, which was broadcasted on SBS, and had over 3 thousand people in attendance.

The Concert featured a number of multicultural acts including Chinese Folk Dancing, Indian dance, aboriginal band, and the Chinese Lion Dance.

The two lions started the performance on the stage and then moved down into the crowd where the lions interacted and played with the audience.

The performance was very much enjoyed by all the whole audience as the troupe received a tremendous ovation after the performance.

All of us at the CCC Lion Dance Troupe would like to thank all the staff at KULCHA for their great hospitality shown to us at the concert.

 

Arab Association Harmony Day

16th March 2013 – Maddington Community Centre

The CCC Lion Dance Troupe once again got invited to perform at the Arab Associations Harmony Day.

This years Harmony Day was much bigger than last years with a bigger audience, more acts, and had coverage from a local radio station.

The troupe will like to thank the members of the Arab Association for once again having us at this event. We hope to be back once again next year!

 

Perth International Students Festival

16th March 2013 – Perth Cultural Centre

The CCC Lion Dance Troupe had the great opportunity to perform at the Perth International Students Festival

The festival is a free non-profit event held in the Perth Cultural Centre, which brings together newly arrived and established international students studying at university, college and school in Perth.

The Festival is the major calendar event for international students and presents an opportunity for international students to meet others. The Festival provided a number of entertainment for the students including band, lion dance, and Perth Amazing Race.

The CCC Lion Dance troupe will like to thank the Perth Education City for inviting the troupe to perform at this event. We hope to see you all once again next year.
