Carolyn and Mike’s Wedding

25th of April 2015 – Mt Eliza House, Kings Park

With the seasons of weddings coming around, the Chinese Community Centre (CCC) Lion Dance Troupe performed at the wedding of Carolyn and at the beautiful private Mt Eliza House, located in Kings Park.

After the tea ceremony, the lions made their way to the newlyweds and started the performance. The newlyweds fed the lion with the lettuce and oranges before the lion presented a good luck scroll to the newlyweds. The lions then interacted with the wedding guests. To make the performance more special, one of the CCC Lion Dance members grandparents were in attendance of the wedding, so was a special moment to be able to have that member perform for his grandparents.

The CCC Lion Dance Troupe will like to wish the newlyweds all the bests in their new lives together. We hope that your futures will be filled with great love, health and wealth.

IWIRCWA Shanghai Nights Ball

17th of April 2015 – Pagoda Hotel

The Chinese Community Centre Lion Dance Troupe had the great opportunity at performing at the International Women’s Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation (IWIRCWA). The IWIRCWA are an organisation that is committed to the connection, promotion and success of women in the insolvency and restricting professions worldwide. The theme of the ball was a Shanghai Night theme, with the venue decorated with traditional Chinese arts and props.

The performance was a surprise for all the guests, so when the lions came running in to the venue to start the performance, all guests were quite shocked and surprised. The lions entertained the guests by interacting with the guests and performing a variety of dance synchronisation movements and aerial jumps. Overall the performance was very much enjoyed by all.

The CCC Lion Dance Troupe will like to thank the IWIRCWA for allowing us to be a part of the event and allowing us to perform for you all.
